Priority Tourism Competitiveness Programs for the Danube Cultural Route

The Danube Cultural Route gathers reasons and motives for travelling to gain cultural experiences along the predefined itineraries, using points of interest and attractions connected with the main theme – Roman Emperors’ cultural heritage sites and wine cellars along the Route, utilizing rich history and heritage in wine making. Each point of interest represent a micro-destination and the Route as a whole can be perceived as a unique tourism destination, in the sense of its market competitiveness.

Competitiveness of a tourism destination is linked to its ability to deliver goods and services that perform better than other destinations on the important aspects of the tourism experience.
