About Destination

When in Skopje be sure to visit The Stone Bridge across the river Vardar, a symbol of Skopje from the 15th century. In addition, one should not miss Macedonia Square, the city’s main square, located in the vicinity of the Stone Bridge. It is the largest plaza in the country and one of the city’s primary meeting places and public areas. The most popular tourist walk starts from the Old Railway Station down to Macedonia Street, then passes near the birthplace and memorial house of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mother Teresa, and the Medieval Tower from the Ottoman times, also known as the Feudal Tower. You then pass through Macedonia Square, and cross the Stone Bridge. the walk continues to the Holocaust Museum and the Museum of Macedonian Independence, before reaching the Turkish Bazaar and ending at the Kale Fortress.

Gradsko – Stobi, an important outdoor archaeological site, is located in Central Macedonia, next to the E75 superhighway, 75 kilometers south of the North Macedonian capital of Skopje and the international airport.

Stobi Winery is located near the archaeological site after which it was named. Wine is one of the symbols of North Macedonia. The secret of the taste of North Macedonian wines is in the amount of sun, which contributes to the rich flavor of each and every grape.
