About Destination

The centre of Pula can be seen in a couple of hours, as most sights and museums are in the city centre. Besides the Roman heritage sites, it is recommended that visitors also explore the Town Hall, the Twin Gate, the Historical and Maritime Museum of Istria in the adapted Venetian Kaštel Fortress, the Museum-Gallery of Sacred Hearts, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Istria, the underground galleries of Zerostrasse, the Museum-Gallery C8, the House of Croatian Defenders and The House of Istrian Olive Oil. To relax and enjoy there are well-preserved and beautifully designed parks, beautiful beaches, vineries and events.

The Brijuni Islands, or the Brijuni archipelago, are today one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Croatia. The islands are only 6 km from Pula and separated from the mainland by the Fažana Channel, with a regular daily boat service from the nearby Fažana port. The Brijuni Islands comprise two larger islands, Veliki and Mali Brijun, as well as 12 smaller islands that have been inhabited since prehistoric times.

It may take a few days for a more to complete a tour of Pula, especially if visits are made to other places of interest and attractions outside the city centre itself.
