About Destination

Diversity and richness of culture, valuable historical sites, beautiful parks, preserved and protected areas in the vicinity of the town and gastronomic specialities, Sisak is, in its own way, unique and special. The city of Sisak’s ideal geographical location, at the confluence of the Kupa, Sava and Odra rivers, is suitable for a short break in transit, but is also an attractive destination for a holiday.

For a quick visit, it takes about three hours to tour the archaeological park of Siscia “in situ”, the city museum’s Antique exhibition and the Old Fortress. If you have a day or more at your disposal, then you should visit the other tourist attractions and the River Kupa, and enjoy delicious food and drinks (beer) in the various restaurants and cafes. One of the best jazz clubs in Croatia is located on the promenade. Also, if you like art photography and the old techniques used to produce it, visit the Siscia Obscura photo gallery. In addition, not far from Sisak, there is the unique European Nature Park of Lonjsko Polje

Walk in one of the centuries-old city parks or enjoy a boat ride from the confluence of the Odra river to the mouth of the Kupa and Sava rivers.
As you walk the Slave Striegla promenade, visit Mali Archdiocese, the Dutch House, the Grand Chapter of the Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the Culture House KKV and the City Museum of Sisak, among other places of interest located in Sisak.
